Mark Kelly is misleading Arizonans…again.
Mark’s claim that he takes “no corporate PAC money” is playing fast and loose with the facts. Mark has taken tens of thousands of dollars from leadership PACs that accept corporate contributions and from corporate lobbyists.
On top of that, he’s raked tens of thousands of dollars into his personal account for paid speeches to large corporations.
THE FACTS:
- Despite his self-imposed ban, he received cash from corporate-tied PACs by using a workaround—taking the money through other Democratic leadership PACs.
- Kelly has accepted hundreds of thousands of dollars from corporate lobbyists and taken over $1 million from corporate executives.
- In contradiction of his “no corporate PAC money” pledge, Mark made tens of thousands of dollars from corporate speeches. Even fellow Democrat Ruben Gallego criticized Kelly’s hypocrisy, saying: “I don’t understand why even take that pledge if you’re not personally living that.”
- Kelly gave corporate speeches even after launching his Senate campaign, conflicting with his no corporate PAC money pledge and taking in over $200,000 from 11 paid corporate speeches as a Senate candidate.
We look forward to watching Mark Kelly will twist himself into a pretzel trying to explain away the obvious hypocrisy.
